Cacao and Walnut Cake, High Protein Low Fat
Ingredients
- 1 scoop of unflavoured vegan protein powder (30g)
- 20g coconut flour
- 15g coconut sugar
- 15g walnut flour
- 10g cacao powder
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- 15g chia seeds
- 15g apple sauce
- 200ml soya milk
- 15g soya crispies or quinoa pops
- Vegan custard or soya cream
Method
- Pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees
- In a bowl, combine 1 scoop of unflavoured vegan protein powder (30g), 20g coconut flour, 15g coconut sugar, 15g walnut flour, 10g cacao powder and 1.5 tsp baking powder
- Once the dry ingredients are mixed together, add 1 chia egg (15g chia seeds mixed with 30ml water) and 15g apple sauce. Combine together
- Add 200ml soya milk (or more if still dry) and mix into a cake batter
- Optionally, add 15g soya crispies or quinoa pops for crunch plus any sweeteners or flavourings you have (we used vanilla and toffee)
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake for around 20 minutes
- Enjoy! Serve with warmed vegan custard or soya cream
