In 2005 three brothers – David, Daniel and Raul – envisioned all the world enjoying the fragrant-tangy goodness of goldenberries.

This joyful little fruit is native to our homeland, the serene, sun-blessed Andes mountains. With the help of two of our cousins, we founded Nature’s Heart Superfoods and devoted ourselves to exploring goldenberries’ potential. Our family still lives in Ecuador and where it’s literally always summer.

Today we partner with hundreds of small family farmers in Ecuador and Colombia who sell us their freshly picked goldenberries in return for a regular and sustainable second income. We then dry, infuse, pack and ship the delicious antioxidant-rich fruit to be enjoyed all around the world – 25 countries and counting!

Thanks to our dad, who ran a vegetable-drying business, we discovered how to lock in that uniquely vitalising taste by drying the fruit. “We like them. Give us more!” exclaimed the public.

Goldenberries need almost daily attention to successfully grow and harvest, so mass production was never going to work. Instead, we started giving seeds to local farmers. Growing the berries on just one or two hectares next to their home means every plant receives the high level of care this special plant demands
